The institutional formation and development of CPC’s National Congress is a concentrated embodiment of the Party’s spirit of historical initiative. For more than 100 years, the National Congresses of the Communist Party of China have always insisted on grasping the historical initiative by arming the whole party with scientific theories, summarizing historical experience, scientifically analyzing the situation inside and outside the Party, formulating line, principle and policies of the Party, and establishing a strong collective leadership and leadership core. Profoundly understanding the great spirit of the historical initiative in the Party’s previous national congresses is of great and far-reaching significance to carrying forward the spirit of the Party’s 20th National Congress.
