In the new era, China’s ideological security faces a series of risks caused by the infiltration of Western ideology, profitdriven market economy, sluggish ideology related governance and short boards in Internet technologies. At present, ideological risks present new characteristics such as interdependent exogenous and endogenous risks, intertwined explicit risks and hidden risks, interlocked regular risks and abrupt risks, and the formation of a risk complex by the overlapping of ideological risks and other risks. In the face of these risks and challenges, we must make an coordinated effort in three aspects: strengthening awareness of risk prevention, building a security system, and achieving technology-enabled governance innovation; we must take “proactive move” in building a “safety net” and a “firewall” for risk prevention and resolution so as to effectively maintain national ideological security.
