As a prevalent, widespread and harmful erroneous ideological thought, historical nihilism has inherent logical flaws in its course of forming, developing, propagating and evolving. Confined to the historical logic that dissevers the development of human society, the theoretical logic that attaches to subjective idealism.the value logic that advocates Western universal values, the method logic that holds metaphysical thinking and the political logic that tries to westernize and divide China, historical nihilism completely ignores the laws of history, obscures the historical truth and covers up the historical mainstream, and it also bends over backwards to dismember, distort, vilify and negate our history. Its sinister intentions of attempting to overthrow the leadership of the Communist Party of China and our socialist system have been completely unmasked from the above actions. In view of this, we must adhere to materialist conception of history of Marxism, consciously avoid and exceed the discourse trap of historical nihilism and the value myths brought by it so that a safe defense-line in ideological field of our country can be built in this process by which we reveal the theoretical essence of historical nihilism accurately and master the method of criticizing it scientifically.
