Lin Jianhua was born in 1966. He is now Vice-President of the Academy of Marxism of the CASS, Vice-President of School of Marxism of University of Chinese Academy of School Sciences, Executive Director of Research Center for National Cultural Security and Ideological Construction of the CASS, Professor-Grade 2, PhD supervisor, member of the CPC. His research areas are mainly Marxist Theory Studies, Research on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Studies on Scientific Socialism and the International Communist Movement, Research on the History and Construction of the CPC, and so on. He has published more than 300 articles in newspapers and academic journals including Social Sciences in China (both Chinese and English editions), Studies on Marxism, Theoretical Trends, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, etc., among which, more than 40 articles have been reprinted in its entirety by Xinhua Digest, China Social Sciences Digest, Photocopies of Newspapers and Periodicals of Renmin University of China, etc. He has published monographs including An Outline of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of Our Times as well as Its Popularization, China’s Whole-Process Democracy (Chinese and English editions), Comparison and Reference: The Theory and Practice of Socialism in the East and West, The Story of the Internationale, etc. He is now also serving as Deputy Director of the editorial board of Studies on Marxism, Deputy Director and Deputy Editor of World Socialism Studies, Deputy Director of the editorial board of International Critical Thought (in English), etc. He has been granted the titles of the National Outstanding Teacher, Influential Figure of Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in China’s Colleges and Universities, Beijing People’s Teacher Award (nomination award), Distinguished Professor of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Beijing Colleges and Universities, etc.
