The common values of humanity are the “commonality among differences” in the pursuit of values by people of all countries in the world, and also the “greatest common denominator” in the values and ideological understanding of people of all countries, which is holding high the value flag of the progress of human civilization in the world with its unique oriental discourse. Starting from different dimensions of the discourse on the common values of humanity, we will analyze the vast differences between it and the “universal values” preached by the West, break the “theoretical illusion” created by “universal values,” and further clarify the profound implications, distinctive qualities and practical significance of the discourse on the common values of humanity in an all-round and multi-level manner from the six perspectives of the socialist attributes, the rich practice of governance and international exchanges, the responsibility of a large country and party, the exchanges and mutual learning of Chinese civilization, the collective orientation of global governance, and the building of consensus for peaceful development, so as to comprehensively highlight the unique attributes and narrative system of the discourse on the common values of humanity.
