Ideology has been an important weapon for the United States to compete strategically with China, and the United States, by shaping ideological differences between China and the United States into irreconcilable real world conflicts, intends to contain China at all fronts. Ideological weapons provide a moral ground for the United States to contain China strategically, including denying the legitimacy of China’s economic system to carry out economic sanctions against China, justifying political interference so as to build a political alliance for “containing” China, and advocating the superiority of Western values so as to export its culture, which are based on its economic hegemony, political-military power, cultural shaping and discourse manipulation. We need to cope with the current US ideological attacks by exposing its hypocrisy, building a reasonable competition-cooperation relationship, highlighting China’s institutional advantages, and building China’s international discourse dissemination system.
