Digital capitalism, mainly marked by digital technology, is presenting new illusory representations and dilemmas, a system full of contradictions. To understand contemporary digital capitalism, it is necessary to return to Marxism. The mysterious and progressive side of digital capitalism is only an external illusion, a one-sided reflection of the performance and function of digital capitalism, while it has not fundamentally changed the inherent contradictions of the capitalist mode of production. In this regard, we need to clarify the illusion of digital capitalism, grasp its contemporary essence, analyze its historical mission, and seriously address the real challenges of long-term cooperation and struggle between the two systems in the digital economy.
